The Government of West Bengal has established the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University under the Act passed on the floor of the State Legislative Assembly of West Bengal in the name “West Bengal Act XXI of 2012” &  “The Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University Act 2012” vide Kolkata Gazette No WB(Part-III)/2012/SAR-32 dated 16th August 2012.
